It's easy to say "I love you", but not easy to know how to love.
In this beautiful Dharma Talk, given on 26th December in the Dharma Cloud Temple (Upper Hamlet) during our Winter Retreat, Thay teaches how we can take care of and respect both ourselves and our loved-one in an intimate relationship.

Dear Wake Up Family,
We are happy to introduce you to "Stillness Buddy", a new mindfulness software application, with exercises and meditations as developed by Thay.
Stillness Buddy is helping hundreds of people around the world to be more mindful and aware of the present moment, while working at the computer. We use it at our offices in Plum Village and we recommend that you try it too, since it will help you with your mindfulness practice.
The version of Stillness Buddy with Thay's exercises, teachings and quotes was developed as a way of raising funds for the European Institute of Applied Buddhism. The EIAB will receive as a donation, 30 - 40% of the price of each user licence sold.
For detailed information and to take a 14-day free trial, please click here.
We think that this is a wonderful way to support the EIAB and to develop mindfulness practice while using the computer -- Thank you to Stillness Buddy!

Dear spiritual family,
Blue Cliff in autumn is very beautiful. Forests are adorned by the ripening leaves. Today, starting at 11 a.m., retreatants from everywhere will come to attend a retreat with the topic Sitting in the Autumn Breeze. A great number of people signed up, but we could not accommodate all of them, so we had to turn down many people. Our monastic brothers and sisters and lay friends feel very bad about this, but there is no other way. This is the first largest retreat in Blue Cliff. Everyone wants to come practice with the Sangha and, at the same time, "check out" the new monastery.
On the afternoon of October 9th 2007, Time Magazine came to interview Thay about the events that have been taking place in Burma and about the issue on global warming.
Thay Phap Hai, a wonderful and experienced dharma teacher recorded this track at Deer Park Monastery last year for their regular podcast @ dpcast.org .
Here he shares the basics of how to sit, why we sit, and other elements of this practice. We learn how to be 'noble' and that every place you sit can be a place of awakening. You can also enjoy practicing the guided meditation included in the talk.
In Order That We May Live Long and Happily Together, In Order That We May Continually Develop and Deepen Our Love and Understanding, We the Undersigned, Vow to Observe and Practice the Following:
